Job Summary

As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of swimmers and guests at the pool or beach area. Your role involves monitoring activities in the water, enforcing safety rules, responding to emergencies, and providing first aid when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor swimming areas to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of all swimmers.

  • Enforce facility rules and regulations to prevent unsafe behavior.

  • Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations, including performing rescues and administering first aid.

  • Inspect pool facilities, equipment, and water to ensure safety and cleanliness.

  • Provide information and assistance to guests regarding pool and beach activities.

  • Participate in regular training and drills to maintain readiness and certification.

Required Qualifications

  • Language: English.

  • Certification: Current lifeguard certification from a recognized organization (e.g., Red Cross, YMCA), CPR and First Aid certification.

  • Experience: Previous lifeguarding experience preferred.

  • Skills: Strong swimming abilities, excellent observational and communication skills, ability to stay calm and make quick decisions in emergencies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience: Experience in a similar lifeguard role.

  • Skills: Additional water safety certifications, multilingual abilities.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to swim and perform physical rescues.

  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
